5 Reasons To Check Out NYC’s First L.K. Bennett Store (Besides Wanting A Piece of Kate Middleton’s Closet)Brit-Based Label L.K. Bennett Opens an NYC Flagship Inside the Shops at Columbus Circle
You’ve probably been admiring L.K. Bennett’s fashion-forward, yet affordably priced designs for a while now. The brand has been offering sophisticated, feminine pieces since launching in 1990, and more recently has garnered an impressive royal following. In fact, Kate Middleton has stepped out in multiple pieces from the label (including this form-fitting Davina dress with a stunning peplum blazer, these classic nude ‘Sledge’ pumps, and this timeless, military-style overcoat, to name a few). But there’s no need to cross the pond to get your hands on the princess-approved styles. Now—after opening four U.S. stores in Chicago, Altanta, Houston, and New Jersey last year—L.K. Bennett finally has an NYC flagship to call home, right inside the Shops at Columbus Circle.
The chic, 2100 square foot space officially welcomed shoppers on March 23rd, and we got to visit the digs this last week. And while you probably don’t need any more excuses to go shopping, we simply have to share our top 5 reasons to check out the newly opened gem:
1. Perfect Pumps
While the brand offers plenty of timeless staples, it’s probably best known for footwear. Inside you’ll find a whole shoe wall stocked with classic pumps ($295)—yes, the same ones favored by Kate Middleton—cork wedges ($285), brightly colored flats (around $175), sandals, and even some cute lace-up booties.
2. Timeless Trenches
Everyone can benefit from having a classic, khaki trench in their wardrobe. We loved Bennett’s double-breasted Tania coat, outfitted with a wide lapel and belted sleeves ($312).
3. Classic Totes
The store offers plenty of arm candy including large, bright leather totes (around $392), perfect for the office. You can also find several classic clutches, which will give any outfit a polished update.
4. Effortlessly Chic Button Downs
We love bow-tied blouses this season, and Bennett offers the lady-like style in a wide range of colors. We’ll be wearing them with skinny jeans, pencil skirts, and dress shorts in warmer months.
5. Day to Night Dresses
Whether you prefer tailored shirt-dresses, fitted sheaths, or printed frocks (think floral and leopard), this spot has you covered. As for the best part, most styles are under $400.L.K. Bennett| 10 Columbus Circle| 212-309-7559
