Imagine dining in a speakeasy style townhouse adorned with 1,000 carved wood panels inspired by an old fashioned jewelry box, a two story pearl chandelier and a well curated pawn shop where we’ve spotted everything from a vintage Judith Leiber bag to a “returned” engagement ring! Can you think of a more apropos setting for your next GNO? Ever since the owners of Stanton Social opened B and E last December, it’s no surprise A-listers including Kim Kardashian and Maggie Gyllenhaal have been flocking to the chic and trendy spot. Getting past the bouncer, however, is never a problem because of the spacious layout. B and E boasts four distinct dining rooms (one private), two bars, a lounge and a women’s bathroom, complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa, antique perfume bottles and a private bartender offering complimentary bubbly on weekends. Score! As for the menu, there’s a raw bar featuring “Pearls of the Sea” (oysters), “Jewels on Toast” (a nightly selection of crostini’s), salads, entrees, and “accessories” aka sides. The dishes are designed to be shared. As for cocktails, we loved “Earl The Pearl” with belvedere, earl grey tea, lemon, and mint syrup. So refreshing! So get your girls together and make a res, you’ll need one!
