Blind Tiger Ale House Offers 31 Drafts of Beer!
Blind Tiger Ale House's Extensive Beer Selection Will Appeal to the Most Discrening Beer Lovers
WHAT: The Perfect Craft Beer Bar
WHERE: Blind Tiger Ale House
PRICES: Beers start at $6 to $55 for vintage varieties
If you’re looking for Bud or Guinness you may want to go elsewhere, but true beer aficionados will undoubtedly appreciate the 31 different drafts and even larger variety of bottles, including vintage and special picks (which change regularly), at the Blind Tiger Ale House. The unassuming spot—outfitted with a long wooden bar and plenty of seating— offers a wide range of well-priced brews and pricier picks (we spotted a JW Lees harvest Ale from 2000 and a Unibroue Chambly made in Quebec in 2004 on the list). The friendly bartenders definitely know their stuff, so if you need help finding the perfect pint they’re happy to help. As for the food, you can choose from a variety of plates to share, including chicken wings ($12), Mediterranean dip trio with pita ($12), and house made pickles ($6) to name a few. Looking for something more substantial? No worries. The West Village Spot also dishes out sandwiches (think BLT’s and grilled 5 cheese on sour dough for $8) and salads starting at $10.50. If you stop by on Wednesday night at 6 pm you can enjoy free cheese from NYC’s famed Murray’s Cheese shop, served with fresh baguettes. (Just get there early, it goes fast!) Plus, you get $1 off drafts and well drinks during happy hour which runs from 12 pm to 8 pm Monday-Friday, quite possibly the longest happy hour in NYC. We like their style!—AMANDA LIBBY
