Have Your Cake and Eat it Too: Chelsea’s New Stick & Pop Offers Treats Under 200 Calories!Chelsea's Stick & Pop Offers 11 Cake Pop Flavors for $3 Each
It’s no secret: We’re kind of into specialty treat shops here at Where Can I Find the Perfect. So when we heard a cake pop boutique was opening in Chelsea earlier this month, we couldn’t wait to stop by for a taste test. And we must say, Stick & Pop does not disappoint.
The dessert-centric spot—which first launched online in 2010—offers 11 cake pop flavors ranging from the classic Birthday Cake (vanilla cake dipped in dark chocolate, rolled in colorful sprinkles) and chocolate cake pops, to inventive S’more style treats (made with marshmallow and vanilla cake and chocolate chunks, dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in graham cracker crumbs) and “The Lunch Box” (a peanut butter cake with raspberry swirl dipped in a peanut butter shell and topped with raspberry drizzle). We also loved the salty and sweet Johnny Cakes (a peanut butter cake dipped in dark chocolate, covered in pretzels crumbs and sea salt).
As for the best part: Each mini-cake is $3 and around 165 calories! And if you’re planning a party, Stick & Pop also offers adorable special event pops (perfect for baby shower and wedding favors). You can order the sticks online, or head to the new storefront where you can watch them bake the bite-size desserts on-site. Each pop comes individually wrapped, tied with a pretty, little bow.–AMANDA LIBBYStick & Pop| 233 W. 19th Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues)| 646-481-4767
