NYC’s Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is All the Buzz, Here’s WhyLA's Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf comes to NYC!
Up until now, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was exclusive to the West Coast. But the purple sleeved cups may look familiar even if you haven’t visited one of the many Cali outposts. The lauded café regularly pops up in episodes of Entourage, and the likes of celebs including Charlize Theron and Gisele (above) are often snapped toting the famed cups of java. So when the coffee chain announced plans to open in NYC earlier this summer, we weren’t surprised New Yorkers were abuzz.
On Monday, the kosher shop officially opened its doors in Times Square on the corner of 39th and Broadway—conveniently close to Manhattan’s Fashion District—and tons of New Yorkers lined up for their morning caffeine fix. The long bar is outfitted with overhead flat screens listing the extensive varieties of coffees and cafe brews (with flavors including mocha, vanilla, hazelnut, white chocolate, and caramel), espresso, brewed teas (we loved the blueberry and pomegranate flavors), tea lattes, and coffee ice blended drinks in flavors ranging from “Black Forest” with cherries and chocolate covered espresso beans to white chocolate. Of course, there are plenty of muffins and other bakery treats to choose from as well. The brand plans to open more NYC stores within the year, so stay tuned for updates!—AMANDA LIBBYThe Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf|1412 Broadway at 39th Street
