Rachel Zoe’s DreamDry Debuts In The Flatiron DistrictRachel Zoe Opens A Flatiron Salon (With Appointments Starting at 6:30 am!)
Let’s be honest: There’s always room for another great blow dry salon here in Manhattan (especially when your venue of choice is booked solid). Well, we have some good news. Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe (along with business partner Robin Moraetes) just opened the doors to DreamDry, a blowout and hairstyling salon joining the ranks of DryBar, Blow, and Fix Beauty Bar in the quest to make girls on-the-go feel glamorous in as little as 40 minutes. Plus, you can snag an appointment starting at 6:30 am until 10pm; a major score compared to the sometimes limiting hours at competing salons.
The chic, 17-chair salon offers braids, ponytails and updos ($20), a dry shampoo express style ($30) and a traditional blowout, which includes a shampoo and scalp massage ($40). Choose from a dozen finishing styles based on some of Hollywood’s most famous do’s, including the Farrah (soft, loose waves), Brigitte (sexy undone volume), Audrey (a high sleek bun) and Sophia (luxurious volume and curl). As for products, expect only Oribe (a favorite among a-listers including J-Lo).
Book appointments online to pay a la carte, buy packages (that don’t expire), or go for a gold ($115/month), or platinum ($225/month) membership. These include either 3 or 6 blowouts per month, the option to purchase more at discounted rates, 10% off hair products, a free hair treatment for your birthday, exclusive invites to VIP events, and more.
We really like DreamDry’s Dossier feature, which sets it apart from the other blowdry salons. At the end of each visit, the stylist will snap your headshot for your own digital look book and include notes from the visit, including the style received, stylist’s name, and the weather on the day of your appointment. It’s great for keeping track of which looks you’ve tried and will help ensure that you get the perfect blowout every time.
The Flatiron location is the the company’s first, but a second is already set to open later this year on West 57th St. A good hairstyle, as Rachel Zoe often says, is “everything,” so log on to DreamDry to book your first appointment. —CASSIE KREITNER
