Healthy and Easy DIY Baby Food Recipes

Good news parents! You don’t need to be a professional chef, or spend more than 5 minutes in the kitchen, to whip up a perfect bowl of baby food. Our own Amanda Libby shared her favorite baby friendly foods on PIX 11 that are packed with healthy nutrients and take just minutes to make. Check out the clip here and get the recipes below.  Recipe 1:

Steamed Butternut Squash

Recipe 2:



1 carrot

1 small Yukon gold potato


*throughoughly wash the carrot and potato

*dice and steam for 15 minutes

* throw juices away

*blend until the mixture is smooth

 Recipe 3:


All you need is:

3 carrots, washed and peeled

1 pear, washed and chopped



Steam carrots and pears, blend, enoy!

This delicious dish provides betacarotene, and pears are rich in antioxidants and fiber.

 Recipe 4:


Yobaby organic yogurt

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 banana

Recipe 5


All you need to do is soak 1 cup of almonds for at least 12 hours in water with /a half teaspoon of sea salt.

Then rinse the almonds, and mix them with  4 cups of water in the blender.

You’ll blend it for several minutes until it’s smooth and creamy, strain it, and then throw it back in the blender and add honey to taste.

Then just pour it into a pitcher and it will last in your fridge up to 1 week.

MOM-TO-BE  Fruit Smoothie

All you need is:

1 banana

3⁄4 cup frozen mango

1⁄2 cup diced pineapple

1 cup light coconut milk

And one 1 Orange Flavor Premama Powdered Prenatal Vitamin Stick

Blend this up until its smooth and uniform, and enjoy!
